Position Details
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment to accomplish difficult or highly complex tasks
- Prior to operating equipment, conducts routine inspections to identify needed maintenance or repairs
- Maintains records of time worked and materials used
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Competitive wages based on experience
- 40+ hours per week during spring, summer, and fall
Required Skills/Abilities
- The operator must have experience running equipment
- Experience in rigging and moving heavy objects on the job site
- Valid driver’s license
- Class A license is preferred, however not required
- Knowledge of soils and compaction
- Ability to read construction staking or the willingness to learn
- A basic understanding of plan reading or the willingness to learn
- Basic construction surveying knowledge or the willingness to learn
- Willingness to understand and accept safety standards
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form
- Must maintain flexibility in the schedule during the busy season
- Willingness to work hard and be reliable
